Is it time?

For the last few days, whenever I poop I say, "uh-oh," and then lift up my shirt and take a look at my diaper. This morning, after I'd had tons of juice and hadn't been changed in a couple hours, I went to the diaper bag, pulled out a diaper and wipes, and took them over to Daddy. Is it time to start thinking about potty-training? Mommy and Daddy sure hope so!

First official haircut

I've been looking pretty shaggy recently, so today Mommy and Daddy took me to get my first haircut. I sat in the chair all by myself. I didn't cry or fuss or even wiggle too much (just enough to try to see what the haircutter lady was doing, especially when she used the buzzing trimmer).

When I was all done, they gave us a special certificate and some of my hair in a bag. The lady did I really good job, so I look even cuter now!

Happy Easter!

Mommy and Daddy took me to see the Easter Bunny last weekend.

I was very confused as to why I was sitting on a giant rabbit's lap.
On Friday lots of people were off work, so we had an Easter egg hunt at my house! Lots of my toddler friends came, including Roland, Jaekob, and my girlfriend Dylan, plus a couple other kiddies I hadn't met before (and some big brothers and sisters). Daddy's former coworker Alejandra came too, with her tiny baby Alesca. Daddy and she were both really surprised to see each other, since he and Mommy didn't know she was coming and she didn't know it was at our house! Alesca was too little to hunt for eggs, but I wasn't. I found lots, and they were all filled with yummy snacks!

Look, here's a purple one! Better put it in my basket. And another one! Ooh, here's one under the table. And this one next to the rain barrel. Thanks, Daddy, for helping me get one off the table!

Ladies' Man

Last night Mommy, her friend Heather, and I went to Panera at the mall for dinner. Mommy tried to put me down to walk (I walk all the time now), but I wrapped my arms and legs around her and clung like a little monkey. At dinner there was a cute little girl at a table across the restaurant. She was probably about 18-24 months old. We couldn't take our eyes off each other! We were totally mackin' on each other.

After dinner, Mommy put me down to walk, and I did - right into a lingerie store! She picked me up and carried me for awhile, then put me down just in time for me to walk into Victoria's Secret! What can I say; I know what I want.

Today is Kitty Cat Thursday

Why is today Kitty Cat Thursday? Because I said so.

At daycare, during circle time, Ms. Tina was having the bigger kids in my class say, "Today is Thursday." I want to be a big kid too, so I said, "Thursday." And then I gave her a high five.

At home, while Daddy was grilling hotdogs for dinner, I saw one of our cats, Tybalt, sitting in the window, so I said, "Kitty cat."

And that's why it's Kitty Cat Thursday. Who knows what tomorrow will be?

Cutie

I was extra cute in my overalls on Sunday.

Vaccuum!

I didn't want to take a nap Sunday.
I thought I kept hearing stuff downstairs. When Mommy finally released me from the crib, I went downstairs and found a new vaccuum, just like MY vaccuum only bigger! Our old vaccuum broke a couple weeks ago, so Daddy replaced it with an awesome new one, the Dyson 07. It sucked up cat hair we didn't even know was there.I like to pet it and dream of the day I'll be big enough to use it.

8

I have eight teeth now: my two front bottom ones, my two front top ones, one each on either side of those, and two top molars, one on each side. My four canines are visible too, just about to pop through (hopefully). My four new teeth are still pretty small, but you can feel them as I bite you when you stick your finger in my mouth, like Mommy always does. I can bite pretty hard!

Escargot? No!

Today it was such nice weather outside that I decided to help Mommy replace the mulch on her roses. While digging through it, we found a snail. Mommy checked to see if it was alive (it wasn't), and I took it from her and tried to eat it. But the shell was too hard, so I spit it out. Mommy's dreading what's going to happen when I find slugs in our yard this summer. Maybe she should plant some more berry bushes to distract me.

Pneumonia?

I'd been feeling pretty good, healthwise, recently, so of course it's time to get sick again! Last night I felt so yucky that I fell asleep while sitting on Mommy's lap before dinner, something I haven't done for quite a few months. In the middle of the night I woke up with a really high fever and troubled breathing. Tylenol and xopenex didn't really help, but sitting outside for awhile on the deck did. After an hour and a half I was cool enough and breathing easily enough to get back to sleep, but when I woke up at seven it was all back. Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctors' office, where there was a thirty minute wait just to check in! Lots of sick little kids where there. Dr. Greene, who I saw last time I had breathing problems, said it was either a mucus clot in my left lung, or the beginning of pneumonia. Yuck! Either way, I'm on antibiotics that should clear it all up in a few days. Hopefully I won't miss any school next week!
